The Fontenot Training stables have a 10 horse barn for customer horses. Elam Fontenot is a 4th generation horse trainer, who specializes in starting colts for specialty trianers. All colts started at this barn are able to stop, back up and turn left and right before Elam gets in the saddle, and he never has to touch them. The horses are very light in the mouth and, respond to leg pressure. Many of Elam's 30 day colts are able to be ridden without a briddle, halter or any head gear. Any colt started at this barn will be far ahead when they meet their specialty trainer. Every horse is trained according to its mental and physical ability.
